How to assign the storage types to picking areas

Hi Gurus

I have to assign the storage bisn to picking areas, plz give me some key points .

this can we move to production from Quality or we have to made directly in production.

Hi,

If you have already created the bins for the storage type, your requirement can't be met. Since we normally assign the picking area to the Storage Bin Structure (i.e at the time of defining the Storage Bin Structure for the Storage type).

Anyhow, if you have already created the bins & if Stock exist in the bins. Follow the below process to assign the pick area to your bins.

1. Remove the stock from the bins.

2. Delete the bins created for your storage type.

3. Create bins again after assigning the Picking Area in the Storage Bin Structure settings under LE-WM-Master Data in IMG.
