Hi,

Can you please check whether it is a local change request. As already pointed out by Markus, double click on the transport request and go to the Properties tab to check whether the Target System is mentioned.

If no consolidation route leading from the current system is defined in the TMS for this transport layer, then the object is recorded in a task belonging to a local change request.

Local change requests are not transportable and hence cannot be transported until target is specified.

If it is a local change request, then you need to create a new change request as transport of copies where you include the objects from the local change request and then mention the target system.

thanks,

Subhajit.

Did the request have a target set in DEV?

No problem visible in the log files.

Hi Mark

Yes target is clearly defined.

Was there a file (or two files - data and cofile) create on the filesystem for that transport?

Yes Mark

Both datafile & cofiles are created in Dev.

I can imagine of two problems:

- DEV (or QA) has not access to to /usr/sap/trans/buffer/<SID> (target) and hence can't add the transport

- the TMS configuration is incomplete
