Flat file upload

Hi All,

I am trying to follow the PDF How to load flat file using BW_BPS web"

The problem I am facing is : when I try to activate the classes I am getting the following error.

Error:

Program SAPLZBPS_FILE

REPORT/PROGRAM statement missing, or program type is INCLUDE.

I am not sure what it means by this error. Please help me out to correct this.

Hi,

The program name SAPLZBPS_FILE is a function group called ZBPS_FILE. Please go to the function group using tcode SE37 and activate the whole group or you can try activating the program using transaction SE38.

You can use tab delimited files to do flat file uploads

Hi All,

I am trying to upload a tab delimited file but the last column which is key figure type Number( DEC) is not being picked up. If I try to adjust it its showing up with the first key figure in the first key figure's cloumn. So please let me know what I'm doing wrong.

Hi Harini,

Is you key figure included in the planning level/package for the same,.i.e u can check the yt_data structure by right clicking that.

Also see how the key figure is being updated to your data targets.

Also see if in the global data have u mentioned the field for your key figure.

after u created the function module then from context menu GoTo->global data, there u write the code for global data function group as it is given in How To.....

Activate that code there and then I think u should not have any problem in activating....

Thanks All,

I activated the Global Data and the problem got fixed.

I have lot more questions coming up in this scenario as I work through it.

Can anybody tell me what sort of files I can upload using this method. Basically can I upload Excel file via Web.
