Hi,
We are currently working on a multi-country portal implementation.
I was wondering if it is possible to have ESS/MSS business package contents from the installation of a latest business package exist in parallel with contents from an older business package? (e.g. an older version MSS Business Package already exists for a particular country which meets the user requirements, and for another country the latest business package is required to be installed to meet user requirements)?
Also what is the impact on the PCD Structure for having different business package versions for different country implementations? Is it possible to decide particular folders where different versions of the same business package are installed?
Appreciate your comments and any prior experiences that you could share.
Cheers!
Hi John,
You can not have different versions of same business package. Because components will share same name and package.
Though there is a possiblity of using old version for one or more services, but if there is any change in interface of components of FPM or PER then your service will not run.
Rather you can keep different versions at different machines and you can use them for your specific need.
You have to specify a new resource, servcie etc or that.
Regards,
Sudhir
