Hi,

Can you please the check Oracle alert logs to see whether there any ORA-0600 errors. Also please check whether there are in ORA-00610 errors. Please check the Oracle trace files for any errors.

Please run the rsoradjv report to check whether the Oracle memory parameters and events are appropriately set / reset as per SAP recommendations. Also please refer SAP Note 830576 - Parameter recommendations for Oracle 10g.

Please concentrate on the memory parameters such as-

java_pool_size

large_pool_size

streams_pool_size

job_queue_processes

etc.

Also, please check the Oracle event 14532 is set.

regards,

Subhajit.

Hi,

Its seems your listner in Hanging.

Is your Oracle version 10.2.0.2.

If yes, the below may be true in your case

Known issue list of upgarde from 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.2

Oracle Listener Issue

If you apply this patch set, the listener might hang intermittently in both RAC, and nonRAC environments.

Workaround: Perform the following steps:

Rename the $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/conf/ons.config file by entering the following commands:

cd $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/conf

mv ons.config ons.config.orig

Alternatively, change each port value in the $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/conf/ons.config file to an unused port.

Restart the listener.

This issue is tracked with Oracle bug 3881276.

Hi,

which OS & database you are using.Check login name which ur trying to run lsnrctl start.

it should be ora<SID>.have you change IP address hostname

$ping <HOSTNAME>

if pinging then check tnsnames.ora and listener.ora file.

lsnrctl stop;l

snrctl start

tnsping <sid>

if not sucessful give log file

check if ur database is up and running .Also execute R3trans -d and check trans.log generated.

A normal reboot of the server can solve ur problem provided its due to some memory problems
