Hi
We have a report, for which there are 3 user entry variables. When I first run the report, all three show up and the report executes fine. However, if I refresh the query, only one variable shows up. Any ideas on why that could be so? All 3 variables are defined the same way (user entry, optional, selection value).
Thanks,
Pooja.
Hi Pooja
I know you posted your question a while ago, but in case you are still looking for the answer, I found it after searching for the answer to my own similar question as yours....
Go to Change Query (Global Definition)
In the left hand panel, find the Characteristic Value Variable in question
Right click, edit
Un-tick "Can be changed in query navigation"
It should then appear in the variable selection screen on refresh.

Pooja,
Saving and Reusing Variable Values:
If variables that are ready for input are used in a report, then you can enter the desired values for the variables or confirm the default values when embedding the query in an Excel worksheet. If you wish to save and reuse variable values select the setting Save and Reuse Variable Values. This function is not active by default
