SAP_BASIS 7.01 available in which version of SAP

Former Member

Hello all,

Im trying to install SAP Business Objects Risk Management 3.0. In the install guide it says they need SAP_BASIS 7.01 and SAP_ABAP 7.01. So which version of SAP do need to install?

I know SAP ERP 6.0 SR3 has SAP_BASIS 700, which means i need to install EHP's. So which EHP do i need to install? Does installing EHP1 give me SAP_BASIS 7.01 or do i need to install the latest EHP4?

Im very new to this concept of EHP. Im right now going through the docs on EHP4 Installation.

Any added information towards understanding the EHP concept is very appreciated. Im very confused right now.

Please guide me.

Thanks!

Manoj and Sunny,

Lets see if i got this right. According to notes 1064635 & 1248905 if u already have a SAP system installed then u need to be at:

1) SAP ERP 6.0 SPS15 (ABAP) to install EhP4 SPS03

2) SPS 18 to install SAP EhP1 for Netweaver 7.0

Lets say that i want to build a new system with SAP_BASIS 7.01. Then im thinking that i need to download these things from the market place for a installation on Windows Server 2003 x64 Bit and MS SQL Server 2005.

51036539_1 to 51036539_6 RDBMS MSSQLSRV 2005 SP3

51036767_5 BS 7 SR1 UC-Kernel 7.01 Windows Server on x64 64bit

51036859 NW 7.0 EHP1 SR1 Installation Export

51036888_13 BS 7 SR1 Installation Master Windows Server on x64 64bit

51037093_1 to 51037093_4 NW 7.0 EHP1 SR1 Java based SW Comp.s

51033594_1 to 51033594_10 SAP Enh. Package 4 for SAP ERP 6.0

51036902_1 to 51036902_6 SAP ERP 6.0/NW 7.01 SR1 Inst Export

Please lemme know if this is the right way to go.

The notes that u have given has given me good understanding.

Thanks for all that you do.

Hi,

Please find response to your questions:

1) SAP ERP 6.0 SPS15 (ABAP) to install EhP4 SPS03

2) SPS 18 to install SAP EhP1 for Netweaver 7.0

first of all it is not mandatory that you have SPS 15 for EHP4 SPS03 and SPS 18 for EHP1 on SAP Nw 7.0.

If you are insatlling new system with EHP4 then you should take in consideration that for new installation with EHP4 you should have seperate SID for ABAP and Java.

And rest of the things you can find in the maste guide or installation document.

Thanks

Sunny

Hi,

EHP4 for ERP 6.0 needs EHP1 for Netweaver.

and EHP1 for netweaver needs Basis 7.01.

Cheers,

Jags.

Hi Kranthi,

You need to install EHP1 with support package 03, this will give you SAP_BASIS 7.01.

you need to install SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 Support Package Stack 03 (01/2009)

You may visit the below link for more information:

https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sps/info.do?pvnr=01200615320900001250&s...

( you'll require your service market place id to visit this link)

The prerequisite to install SAP Business Objects Risk Management 3.0., you should have SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 Support Package Stack 03 (01/2009) or higher, the latest support pack available for SAP_BASIS 7.01 is 04, you can install any one of them, see the below link as well

I think i got it. As per note 789220, installing EHP1 for SAP ERP 6.0 ABAP gives me SAP_BASIS 7.01.

But have another question is SAP ERP ENHANCE PACKAGE 2005.1 = SAP EHP1 ?

Looking by the dates that the software was uploaded...i think it is.

Please lemme know.
