relation between table VBRP and LIPS

hi all,

when i create a invoice with a delivery number, delivery quantity(LIPS-LFIMG) will be assigned to invoiced quantity(VBRP-FKIMG).

Is it possible that the invoiced quantity and delivery quantity aren't the same, if i write a user exit to change the value which are transferred to the VBRP from LIPS.

Could anyone help with it in a functional way? Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Desmond.

Hi Desmond,

Yes, the delivery quantity and invoice quantity can be different. Consider a scenario where you have delivered 10units to a customer but want to invoice them in 2 different billing documents. SAP has provided a standard functionality to change the billing quantity at the time of invoice creation. You do not have to take the user exit route. In delivery-related billing, you can only change the item quantities for item categories that have billing relevance K.

Hi,

The tables LIPS : Delivery Item, VBRP : Billing Item.

The relation between the tables LIPS and VBRP will be configured with the functionality called "Copy Control", Here we can define the predefined data transfer routine with respect with header level, item level and scheduline level that depends upon the business process of your client and also how the pricing behaves in an order, delivery and invoice.

Here, you can use the Copy Control from Delivery to Billing documents. ie VTFL (Delivery to Billing Documents).

so pl configure the system according to your requirement of client.
