Checking Web Application Server

Hi,

I m new commer to NetWeaver and just installed SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio and Application Server on computer. May any body tell me how i can check that the server is running or not. I mean in case of IIS we write

http://localhost (for example) but how we can check SAP Web Application Server (i mean how i caheck which port server is using and what is its name ) so that i can use it while running some web application from server.
