Hi All,
Is it possible to move a file in ready oudbound folder of a repository to ready inbound folder of another repository and mae this process of Import/Syndication automatic using MDIS.
Thanks in advance.
Manish
I think, as per design MDM cannot automatically move files from Outbound folder to Inbound Folder.
But If this is your requirement then you can easily write and schedule a batch script program to automatically move files from Outbound folder to Inbound Folder.

Hi Manish,
As Rightly mentioned above. The MDIS and MDSS are responsible to Push and Pull Files accordingly in their respective path folders.ie MDIS will work with the inbound folder only and MDSS will work with outbound folder only.
If you want to move the file form the outbound to the inbound it cannot be handled by the MDIS or MDSS as they are not programmed to do so.
The only way you can do this is:
- Either manually to the process by picking the file form the inbound archive and place it in the outbound ready.
- Use XI for picking teh file from inbound archive and placing it in outbound ready.
Hope It Helped

Hi Manish,
MDIS and MDSS cannot handle this kind of requirement. You will have to syndicate the MDM files into the normal Outbound Port folder and then use a Middleware such as SAP XI which will have to pick up the files from the MDM Outbound Folder and then place it in the Inbound Ready Port of other repository.
Can't be handled automatically by MDIS and MDSS alone.
Hope it helps.

Hi Manish,
If your MDIS or MDSS servers are up they will load the file into MDM repository immediately when it is in ready folder (unless there is some structural or value exception)and after loading move the file into Archive directory.
From Archive directory you can load the file into any directory using SAP XI or may be a scheduled shell script as per your need.

Mandeep.
