Schedule line items facility in PS

Hi friends,

There is the Schedule lines functionality in Sales Order. This is used for planning the despatch schedules date wise.

Now I am attaching a Finished Goods BOM to an activity in a Project, say of 50 quantity. Is there any standard functionality in PS which will facilitate the despatch planning like we do with the help of schedule lines in sales order?

hi,

IF you assign the material to activity and procure the project specific Q stock, through CNS0 you can deliver the components at any time. then only VL02n the picking is done. in this process sales order never comes into picture hence schedule line concept declared in SO can't be made applicable here as standard. also Q stock is not considered under standard availability check creteria.

Schedule line is the tentative declaration of stage wise completation/delivery from the system. but in project withoout release of activity the further process is not taken place, both things at a time may make contradiction.

if at all the case then 1 work around can be prepare sales order , transfer Q stock to SO stock then do dispatch
