Site and Listing

Hello Experts,

I have two questions related to site and listing

(1) When a site has been unassigned from an assortment, does this only stop new articles from being extended to that site?

(2) If the closed store did not completely process paperwork to transfer all inventoy, will an open store still be able to process a document that will transfer the inventory from the closed store to the opern store?

Hello Krishna,

1- When you unassigned the assortment of a site, this not only stop new articles from being listed, this will cause that several functions can´t be performed anymore. This include:

Sending article master and conditions to pos systems.

Assortment list can´t be used.

Stock transport orders or purchase orders can´t be created.

2- Physical inventory is not affected by the assorment. This functionality just takes into account marc table (This is the Logistics Store view in the article master).

You can process physical inventory documents manually in the application or via wminve message type.

but I am able to list the articles to the colsed store individually through T-code WSP4. Also, I am able to post the goods receit and do the goods issue for the closed store.

Hello Krishna,

Removing a site from an assortment will only ensure that when listing is done for the assortment, the site will not be taken into consideration. Any function done on the assortment will not affect the site.

This does not mean that the site is permanently closed/deleted. The site is still active and you would still be able to perform listing and other functions on it 'individually' like the one you have mentioned WSP4, MB1A etc..
