DB Backup and Reustore

Hi Gurus ,

We are using R/3 4.7 with Oracle 9 . Noe we took the backup to disk daily using DB13 with option -sd . Unfortunately if one of our serverd DB corrupted , so we want to restore means , what is the steps behind the restore process .

Actualy i read all the backup restore guide , But iam not able to find the steps for restore for my scenario .

So kindly give the ony by one step for restoring the last night backup DB .

Iam new for BASIS , so kindly give me step by step pocedure for restore the DB from the disk backup .

Hi,

You can restore your DB using BR*Tools. It is easy method. You can go for Point-in-time recovery.

You need to restore last succesful backup & then apply redo logs till that time for which you want to bring the changes.

When you are restoring last backup, you dont need to delete old datafiles, redo log etc. It will get overwrite.

SAP has a good tool for this. it is caled BRRECOVER.

just call "brrecover" using user SIDADM and follow steps.
