hi all,
In SRM, when delivery date is changed, PO change version approval workflow gets triggered. whereas it should trigger the approval when there is change in only PO values. otherwise approval is not required.

Hello,
If you have activated the change versions for PO, then any change in PO (even a description change) will create a new change version. And obviously change version will go for approval based on start conditions of Workflow.
In case you want to control like how you have described - i.e. change in Delivery date shouldnt create change version but other changes (like Price, addition of new item etc) should create change version, then you will have to control it by implementing the BADI BBP_VERSION_CONTROL.

Hi,
Check out the tcode SWEC and see if you can find entry for the Business Object Type BUS2201 with raido button "On Change" selected.
Select the entry and double click on Field Restrictions (found on the left side of the screen), here you may find the fields that control the event to be raised on field changes. Check if this helps your case.
Cheers!

PO change version approval workflow gets triggered: Workflow must be configured in that fashion.so change start condition for workflow and test your scenario.
You can see start condition in SAP transaction : SWB_PROCUREMENT
