.SCA and .SDA file

Dears,

Please .SCA and .SDA file which one we should apply by SDM and which one by JSPM and what is the difference between these files.

Please suggest.

hi,

use JSPM to deploy the SDA files

Refer to Note 891983

SCA Files

The startup file of SDM will be

\usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMDS<INO.>\SDM\program

Then execute theRemoteGui.sh file

deploy your .SCA file

JSPM is not a seperate componet from SDM

JSPM uses SDM to deploy componenets

you can deploy .sca,.ear,.zip file

only difference is you can upgrade kernel using JSPM but not with SDM

Hi,

.sca stands for SAP Component Archive.

or .sda for SAP deployed Archive

These two are same and it use to deploy the java components,

patches and other java developments in the form of .sca,

.sda, .war and .jar.

You can deploy via SDM...somtimes you also deploy via JSPM but JSPM in turns use SDM to deploy these files..
