PIPRBRMW140 printer for xApps.

Hi Experts,

I want to use PIPRBRMW140 printer for my DSD application on windows mobile 5/6

I read PIPRBRMW140_ReleaseNote_v1_1_5.HTM and its says the following in

Required Software and Hardware section.

The components below are necessary:

SAP Mobile Infrastructure version 2.5 SP 15

Brother MW140BT mobile printer

Brother MPrintSDK for SAP MI (Version 1.1)

Connector version 1.1.5

Microsoft Bluetooth Stack Architecture included with Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC or WIDCOMM

CrEme version 3.26a

I am at Mi7.0 sp14 and creme 3.27a windows mobile 5.0.

Can anybody suggest whether i can use it or not.

What is MPrintSDK ?

Any other printer which i can use.

Hi Akhil,

You can use PIPRBRMW140 printer for MI 7.0 SP14 client. This is supported from SP08 onwards in MI 7.0 .

Refer attached PDF "DeviceDriverList70.pdf" document in Note: 761833 for more details .

And I guess MprintSDK is Mobile Print software and SDK for the devices.

Hi ,

Here it is mentioned that creme should be 3.26.

I am running my application on creme 3.27a.

So can i still use the printer.

Also in printer file it has been written Window Based mobile..and version is given as 2003.

Can i use WM5.0 / 6.0.

Also one more clarification which i need is where do i change printer config files.

In Addon folder or in PIOS folder.

Hi Akhil,

Ideally it should work on the higher versions of the creme and devices .

And i also found "PIPRINTPB42_ReleaseNote_v1_1_9.htm" print driver for creme 3.27a and windows 5.0 . You can also try using this .

I am not sure about where you'l have to change the the printer config files. You can refer the below given link:

Hi Suma,

It does not work with my current configuration.

PIPRINTPB42..was the option but is costly than other printers.

printer config parameters can be done through parameter sets using AGENT MI_PIOS

Hi Akhil,

Using the driver with other software version, hardware versions or OS versions may work but it is not supported or guaranteed .

So you'l have to choose thae printer which will satisfy your configurations .
