JCO_COMMUNICATION_FAILURE

Hi all,

We are working with AII 4.0, XI and R3.

When we try to send an IDOC from R3 to AII o vice versa, it appears the following error when we look at sxmb_moni transaction: “JCO_COMMUNICATION_FAILURE”

Do you know what we must do? (Yesterday we were working without any problem)

Thanks in advance,

Xavier

JCO_COMMUNICATION_FAILURE indicates a problem in the RFC

connection between the Integration Engine and the mapping runtime in J2EE

  • Check the RFC destination AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER

  • Check the receiving end of the RFC connection in the J2EE Engine (AI_RUNTIME_XR3)

  • Check the application sap.com/com.sap.xi.services in the J2EE Engine

Hi Xavier,

This exception occurs whenever the system is under heavy load. Try tuning up the memory settings on the VM, to help overcome this problem. Also you can have a look at the different notes that provide assistance on the memory settings, according to your operating system.

Hi Xavier,

check out functionality of your SM59 destination. Assumedly it is working, then you have a temporary memory problem of java heap size. It is described in note 723909.

hi,

Just check if the XI server is running and try to restart the message from SXMB_MONI.

HI Xavier,

Go to SM59 of XI Box->TCP/IP Connections->AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER ... test this connection.

If there is any error, then Try to recreate the same or restart the System or take the basis help.

For more-

Hope this helps,
