about project profie

Dear All

when i had given project profile like -XX-0000.0000.00.00 and when i am going for create project profile in cj20n with striating letter BAKE-APL-09-1000.01 i am getting the follwoing error

Entry length is incorrect. "B-XXXXX-00-00

Message no. CJ610

Please guide me to how to solve this error

Hi Raj,

You are getting an error while creating project definition. System is checking the project definition code you entered w.r.t coding mask created in OPSJ as per the configuration in your system.

you have to create project as per coding mask.

in coding mask - there are Project ID and Coding mask length.

In your case coding mask is " -XX-0000.0000.00.00" . So create project definition starting with the project ID and then use upto -XX or upto -XX-0000 as per your project coding conversion.

remember X - referrs to alphanumeric and 0 referrs to only Numeric.

Create as per the coding mask created in OPSJ. you won't get error message again.

Hi raj, this could be coding mask, not porject profile. Chekc your entries in OPSJ a/c to it you should create project in Project builder. It looks that you have ticked Edit in OPSK. that's why the message has through by sys. & that is correect...

as per the coding mask u have mentioned the Project ID should be B-XXXXX.

Is this the coding mask or the project profile ? I guess you are atlking abt cosing mask.

The coding mask length shd match ur project length.

For example

C -XXXXXX-XXXX-X-XX-XXXX

then ur project/WBS will be

C-000101-1035-1-AB-1111 , something like this.

Pls try to map your coding mask to proj defn/WBS to avoid error.
