Where are the KM files stored physically? Database or File system.

Can I get to a file that was uploaded to the portal repository if I had access to the portal server itself? I know we can use webDAV but what i want to know is where these files are stored by the portal. Are they on the filesystem on the portal server?

Hi,

By mean KM you have to create diferents kind of repositories (fs, db, fsdb or db fs). Depending on these files can be stored in fs or db.

You should see your km configuration.

System Administration->System Configuration->KM->CM->Repository Manager->CM

So are the files stored in blobs in the database and how can I get to a file? Or is it all encrypted

How the files are stored depends totally on the type of repository manager, and the selected persistence mode. Usually they aren't encrypted, but they may be compressed.
