table rpsco has line item records for postings against cost elements

value categories are made of cost element groups

example

if you had a posting on the object PR001 for £20 against cost element 415 this will show as 415 in ACPOS in RPSCO

now if you posting on object PR001 for £30 against cost element 617 this will show as 617 in ACPOS in RPSCO

in this example my value categories have been set us

cost element 415 = value category 415

cost element 617 = value category 617

Basically you can and will most likely have more than one value category in ACPOS in RPSCO

OBJNR ACPOS

-

NV000004055300000014 0001 01 1 2009 C_SUBCON_MODI

NV000004055300000014 0001 04 1 2009 C_SUBCON_MODI

NV000004055300000014 0001 22 1 2009 C_SUBCON_MODI

NV000004055300000014 0001 P1 1 2009 C_COST_HORAR

NV000004055300000014 0001 P2 1 2009 C_COST_HORAR

so i dont undestand so good, because the functional tells me that the objnr NV000004055300000014 should belong to one category.

Do you know any other way to get the category value ?

correct your cost bearing object is network activity

your functional guy is wrong the object can have more than one category - it depends on cost element against which posting is made and the mapping of cost element to value category

yes

in addition you can filter by value type e.g. use WRTTP = 4 to get value category for actual only, mybe this is what your func guy wants
