Hi,
I'm learning to work with Sap Solution manager 3.2. I've installed Sap Solution manager 3.2 on Solaris with database Oracle. And I've a few problems.
1) In Transaction SMSY , I added the SAP BW system SBW with the RFC's, but I can't see it in transaction solution_manager - system monitoring.
2) Also the Monitoring Graphic failed. It gives the error
"Action cancelled : Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable."
3) And the link 'Setup System Monitoring doesn't work. But I think that this is related with my problem 1.
Can somebody help me?
Hi Serge:
1) You need to add your new system to a Solution Landscape, then you will see the system in Solution_Manager.
2) You need to activate several BSP's in transaction SICF for this functionality to work correctly.
3) If 1 and 2 are correct, this should work fine.
Hope this help!

Hi Serge,
1. Activating BSP's
Go to SICF and activate the following nodes:
/sap/public/bsp/sap/htmlb
/sap/bc/bsp/sap/ai_proj_setup
/sap/bc/bsp/sap/dswpnotifcreate
/sap/bc/bsp/sap/dswp_create_message
/sap/bc/bsp/sap/dswp_bsp
/sap/bc/bsp/sap/learning_map
/sap/bc/bsp/sap/public/bc
/sap/bc/bsp/sap/solutionmanager
/sap/bc/bsp/sap/system
/sap/bc/contentserver
/sap/bc/solman
/sap/public
/sap/public/bsp
Besides these maintain the parameter
icm/host_name_full = FQDn (host.domain}
maintain this in servers and your machines host file in case dns is not used.
check the http port of the system, using smicm -- goto - services.
In your browser properties make sure you have bypassed proxy settings for this address and all local addresses.
2. In Solution manager transaction choose the solution,
then choose operations setup. then maintain logical component for your system. If you had not created earlier, then create one and maintain it.
Under system type development /production depending on your system type you would see the logical component entry for your system which wuold be of the form <SID>:<client>. Right click on this entry and choose "add to solution".
now you should be able to see this system for EWA as well as system monitoring.
Hope this helps.
