Inherit Folder Characteristics

Hi,

I am struggling with the relationship between SAP DMS Folders structure and Documents. I am are not able to findout how to folders and within documents are mapped in SAP. There is one Tcode CV12 that shows you document structure but not very convincing.

I have gone through few BAPIs one of them is 'BAPI_DOCUMENT_GETSTRUCTURE' which return the folders details but for existing documents only, the scenario is this while creating a document can we have the reference of the folder in which its getting created in EasyDMS.

Going further the reference of the folder is needed for inheriting or copying the characteristics into the new document.

Plz advise.

this will tells how to create folder in EDMS.

Also u can use

By implementing BAdI EASYDMS_MAIN and method FOLDERCREATESIMPLE, you can create a new, simpler create mode for foldersu2013 based on created mode in Microsoft Windows Explorer.
