Hi all,
What are the measures to take before performing the initial load into a Cube.
Thanks,
Reddy.
Hi Prabhakar,
if you are using the Standard extractors , then it is determined by itself if there is a option for delta upload or not.
But if you are doign a custom extraction :then need to determine how often the data is loaded.
If you decide on doign a delta upload then first do a init and then a delta.
We follow the procedure of doigna init delta without data and then a delta .

Hi Prabhakar,
If you are using the LO Cockpit data source -
1. make sure you delete set up tables before doing the set up run
2. run setup at R/3 side
3. make sure there is no transaction in R/3 during set up run & till the time you move this data ( successful initial) to BW
4. Initialize data in BW -
After than you can keep taking delta, intially you can use PSA just for the testing purposes.
hope it helps

Generally in Projects This will be decided in the Blue print stage whether to go for Full loads or delta loads. So we do only either one of these things. If you are going for full loads you don't have to do any thing just schedule the job. If you are going for delta you have to do initialization first and then do delta.
Hope this helps
