NETWEAVER 2004S INSTALLATION ERROR

Hi Experts,

I am facing a problem with installation of NW04s SR2 installation of ABAP + JAVA in Windows 2003 server platform and Oracle 10g as database. Antivirus installed is Symantec.

Here are the steps I've followed.

1. I have downloaded the exports from service market place.

2. I've downloaded j2sdkfb-1_4_2_19-rev-b07 and installed it.

3. I've downloaded JCE 1.4.2 from sun site.

4. Then I started installing by clicking on the sapinst.exe.

This is giving me the following error after giving the path of the JCE file.

Error message:

ERROR 2009-06-10 12:43:01

MOS-01185 The subkey 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\uqnjdzf' does not exist on the 'localhost' host.

After that i tried to create the registry specified in the error mesaage and restarted the installation process from beginning. But getting the same error message.

Please suggest.

I think you have a wrong version of Java installed still..

Is your Sapinst starting ok?

Check if the correct JRE version is installed.

Hi All,

Thanks for all your responses.

The issue got resolved.. i need to do the changes in the permission of the specific registry, where it was full control access only to the system, no other user. i had to give access to the administrator user and it the issue got resolved.

Are you using user with administrator access for this installation? Check the sap_inst logs.
