While Connecting Between EP to SAP R/3

Hi

while connecting from EP to Sap server system.

step 1: created folder in System Administration and System object

step 2: at Template Selection which as to be selected

• Dedicated application Server for R/3 System

• r/3 system via connection string

• r/3 system via with load balancing

hi kumar..,

Try this..,Go to usermanagement->select the role to which u want to give access and give edit..,it will ask for the system alias name in dropdown..in which select ur system and give the id and password..

Select Dedicated application server for R/3 system if you are creating a transactional iview.

you can even use r/3 system via connection string.

i selected Dedicated system, after connector,usermanagement and alias at the time of user mapping and save

Error: user mapping not fully available

is their any other properties to be defined

Hi Kumar,

U must have installed Weak JCE Policy. User-mapping data is stored in encrypted format, which requires Strong JCE Policy.

So there are 2 solutions:

1) Install Strong JCE policy

2)U have to change the property "ume.secstore.active" to false.

U will get this under System Admin.->System Config->UM Configuration->Direct Editing & restart the server.

Thats it and u r thru......!!!!!!

Hi Kumar,

At the time of installation if have not installed strong cryptography provider.

Set ume.usermapping.unsecure = TRUE

In Direct Editing and restart the server.

This will help…

Its not the property "ume.secstore.active",

its "ume.usermapping.unsecure" which has to be set to true.

i changed ume.secstore.active to FALSE ( Not modified)

and ume.usermapping.unsecure to TRUE

but after connector, usermanagement, alias and User Mapping The same error raised

User Mapping not fully Available

HI Kumar,

After making changes to the UM configuration,we have to restart the J2ee server.

Have you restarted the server after making ume.usermapping.unsecure to TRUE ?

i also followed same steps, for me also not connecting to the R/3 System,

i modified user.mapping.unsecure as TRUE and restarted the system

if any modifications pls specify

Hi Kumar,

If you simply want to connect to SAP R/3 backend server for showing some transaction, createDedicated application Server for R/3 System

Generally Load Balancing Systems are required when you have WAS connectivity in picture. Load Balancing Sytems are preferred over Dedicated SAP R/3 Systems

SAP SYstem ID : 00

SAP Server Port : 3200

System TYpe : SAP_R3

SAVE

step5: System alias as (sys1)

step6: Property Category : usermanagement

logon method - UIDPW

user mapping type - admin,user

SAVE

step7: User Administration - UserMapping- search

Administrator in Users - start - edit-

System alias - sys1

user - sapuser i.e( R/3 server)

password - xyzabc

SAVE

then raising error Portal Runtime error

User Mapping not fully Available

with Exception id :
