I have xp x64 professional on the 32-bit E6400 Dell.

Is it possible to use the linux software that is compatible with x64 machine? If not, is there any way to upgrade the hardware or anything else to allow the installation of the test drive sap netweaver software available in the sdn downloads?

That is right. I extracted the concatenated iso file in the desktop. I do not have the procedure.

Jay,

please mount the iso file as root user, e.g. by

mkdir /mnt/loop
mount -o loop,ro <isofile> /mnt/loop

and then check the index.html...

Dear Jay,

please have a close look on the error messages you posted. Maybe you should check if the files are really missing? It looks like, that you only copied INSTALL.SH to your desktop. Could this be the case?

Thanks,

Hannes

Markus,

That seems right as also confirmed by Dell.

Where are installation instructions for SAP Netweaver 2004s N4S_TestDrive_MaxDB.iso on linux?

I mean SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) - Trial Version on Linux from sdn downloads. I have INSTALL.SH as the file after extracting the concatenated N4S_TestDrive_MaxDB.iso file.

Thx. Jay

I seriously doubt that you have installed a 64bit OS on a 32bit server. This will simply not work.

The processor must support 64bit. A bit research on the internet reveals that E6400 is an Intel CoreDuo which support 64bit.

So yes, you can install the 64bit OS on that machine.
