When using IXOS, do we have to configure t-code FILE?

We will use IXOS for data archiving and the storage will be exclusively DVD.

The archived data supposedly will go the archive with the defined archive-ID.

Therefore I have a question:

Do we have to use the paths and files defined in t-code FILE when customizing the

archiving objects?

Please help. Thanks!

Hi,

I don't use DVD for archiving but I think that you need to define the paths and files in t-code FILE at least for temporary storage of the files before the DVD.

Certainly... You need to define the paths for the transfer directory as Olivier just mentioned.
