Automation of License measurement.

Hello All:

I have a a lanscape with many individual systems ( with different SAP version) and solution manager.

I would like to perform the license measurement in an automatic way, that is not having to log on to each individual system to execute USMM, and then download the file.

Can you help me with any suggestions you may have on this matter?

Hi Karina,

you have to initialize every client in USMM. So you have to go into every client, start USMM and set the price list and so on.

If you use the central user administration you can maintain the license data of every user centrally. It is no more necessary to change license data in any client but the central client.

SAP delivers a license admin workbench (transaction license_admin). But here again you have to start the license measurement via USMM (or via job) in every client. The workbench can gather and consolidate all the data calculated by USMM in the different clients.
