Hi nilesh ,

To check and see of your adobe lifecycle designer installation is correct ,

1) call form builder SFP

2) check any standard form template & go to layout .

if are able to see pdf format , then ur installation is correct .

use of adobe lifecycle designer -

it is used for the development of pdf based print forms and interactive forms..

Also , please use the sap version of adobe lifecycle designer available at Service marketplace and not

the version available from adobe as a part of adobe acrobat professional .

hope this helps.

thanks,

Hi Sahiba,

We have installed the Adobe Life Cycle Designer on our local desktop which we downloaded from marketplace.com -> Installations and Upgrades - Entry by Application Group" SAP NetWeaver" SAP NETWEAVER" SAP NETWEAVER 7.0>Installation and Upgrade>AIX server->Oracle.After that when we checked in t-code SFP for layout it is giving below error.

Error :

Error while opening document

Message no. SOFFICEINTEGRATION143

Diagnosis

An error occurred in the desktop application while opening a document.

Procedure

Check first whether you can insert a document from this desktop application as an embedded object in another application. The necessary menu item is usually 'Insert --> Object'. The application then lists all of the OLE document types. Choose the type corresponding to the desktop applciation. If the insertion fails, the error is in the desktop application itself.

This error has various causes. Often, it is caused by activating certain add-ins. Sometimes, the desktop application is wrongly installed. The error should not recur once you have disabled any add-ins or reinstalled the desktop application.

Procedure for System Administration

If you cannot solve the problem as described above, enter a problem message. There are notes relating to how to generate the log file using the program SAPROFFICEINTEGRATIONTRACE.

Please reply to this asap.

Hi Nileshshete,

When you install the Adobe LifeCycle Designer then you can see the installation file located in "MyComputer C->Program Files->Adobe->Designer x.x" (Here "C" is where the OS has been installed if your OS is installed in other drive then locate the path in that drive). First you confirm by checking in this path. If it is not present then try to install the Adobe LiveCycle Designer, after that goto SFP TCode in SAP and check whether the designer is present or not.

If you still face the error, then you need to completely remove the SAP GUI and also Adobe LiveCycle Designer and follow the below steps:

1. First install the SAP GUI (see GUI must be Greater than 6.40, if 6.40 then Patch level must be compulsary 20 or Higher)

2. If you Install GUI 6.40 then install the Patch level 20 or higher otherwise if GUI greater than 6.40 then eliminate this step.

3. Now install the Adobe LiveCycle Designer.

normally, it's part of a standard netweaver installation if your company has purchased the licenses.
