Hi all,

am trying to create a document type ,in DC10 we can see document type and description and to check 6 check boxes .What are all these check boxes and why required?

Please tell me To create a document type for a PDF file or coreldraw file is there any standard document type if not then to create a document type for the files whar are all to be filled in DC10 Tcode?

for example in DC10 there is class type ,internal number ,file size,document status,change number ,CAD indicator etc.etc....

what are all the mandatory fields to be filled in DC10 for any document type we create?

Step-1

Go to SPRO- Cross Application component-----Doument Management -

Control data

A.Define document type

1.To create new Document type use 3 Character length ex [PDF, DOC ,PRT, DRGu2026.]

2.Enter document description, this is not mandatory, u can customize this has mandatory.

3. Flag the followingu2014use Kpro, staus change, version assignment

4. Number assignment- internal, number exit use Defualt-MCDOKZNR, version number increment-1

5. Default application in your case use u2018PDFu2019

6. workstation application u2018PDFu2019

B. Define Object link

Here you can link sap business objects . ex MM, PP, PO etc this depends on your requirement.

C. Define Status Network

Here y can define document process by defining network.

ex, in Design dept consider drawing. Document start with u2018creationu2019, then goes to u2018approveu2019, if not approved again come back to u2018changeu2019 like that you have to develop document network.

Depends on requirement u have to generate network.

Save document

Step-2

Go to SPRO- Cross Application component-----Doument Management -

a.Define workstation application.

new entry------fill the fields as follows

Enter workstation application u2018PDFu2019

Description not mandatory.

File format u2018PDFu2019

Save.

b. Define workstation application in network

You have to define network path for accessing your PDF file

Enter data carrier u2018PCu2019

Save .

These are mandatory steps to create document type and Workstation application.

Next ,

You can creat your document using T-Code ---CV01N.

Enter the following.

Document *

Document type [ex-PDF] in you case

Click enter.

You will see basic data screen Create document.

Enter Description.

Attach PDF file as original using Original folder icon.

Save DIR.
