Updatepreparation to EHP1 for Solution Manager 7.0

Hi all!

I've a question - for the preparation of the update i just want to check whether the downloaded stack is working properly. That means i want to see that the validation is working an all packages are recognized by the jspm.

At the moment our Solution Manager 7.0 is on STACK 17 (7.00) - update is planned in 2 weeks. To perform my tests I must update the JSPM to level 7.01.

Can I do this without any influence to the functionality of the java stack? That means can i apply, eg. java patches, for the release 7.00 with a jspm 7.01 or is this not possilbe?

Best regards

Thomas

It should be downwards compatible.

When I upgraded, JSPM was the first thing I upgraded.

It still was able to see my old packages.

Hi!

Also with the Kernel 7.00 or with kernel 7.01? We are still using the kernel 7.00 - we change it only when we update up to EHP 1.

Kernel is also downward compatabile....but in your case, it will not work, as kernel files are different from 7.01 point of view...so better not to try this...Infact your system will not start, as kernel files are different.
