Change the text shown in Inforamtion bar

Hi All,

How to change the text that is shown on information bar in the portal?.

I mean when you are watching this forum, on the left side top of the page you can see text as "SAP Network Forums - Microsoft Internet Explorer". I want this information to be changed at portal level.

Hi Venkat,

As far as I know this is not possible at the portal level. The maximum what you can do is you can change the application information header which can be launched in a new window from a portal (if the applicationis designed in webdynpro).

No it is possible in Portal. I have done this long back. I have posted the query as I'm unable to recall.

Hi Venkat,

To customize the Title at portal level go to System Administration -> System Configuration -> Service Configuration.

There you can find the "Portal Runtime" under which you will see the "Central Configuration" just open the "Central Configuration" and find the Property named "portal.html.head.title" and set your desired title for that property. It will be changed at portal level.
