Sales order error

I am new to SD.

I am trying to create a sales order. It's giving me error - Missing data -'Assignment no.'.

Can you please help me what will be this error?

Hello

The issue can be resolved by following way

Goto VA02 and put your order number

Click on Goto

Click on Header

Click on Accounting Tab

Give Assignment Number in the Assignment field and Save it.

This will resolve your Problem. Probably this field is marked in Incompletion procedure and hence you are getting an Error.

This allocation number is set in the billing document in accordance with control in document flow and transferred to the financial accounting document.

Can you double click on the error message and elaborate?? Or go to EDIT on the top and see for Incompletion log - where you can find the missing information which need to be completed or maintained before completing the creation of Sales order.
