way to connect SAP application to SQL server?

Dear all,

Is there any way to connect SAP application to SQL server? if it is there then suggest me.

My case is I want to connect one of my enterprise portal application with SQL server means while I am working on enterprise portal at that time SQL database will going to use.

I had done it through Protal but i want to do same connection through my unix based os server so it is possible??

our current SAP is running on Unix os so it is possible??

HI,

SAP now supports SQL Server 2008 with SAP products based on SAP NetWeaver 7.0SR3 and 7.1 and higher. For more information, see SAP Note 1152240.
