Dear All,
Scenario : Dependant Multiple Samples
We have created inspection plan for the material 259 and in the plan,sampling scheme is assigned for the MIC.
The detail is given below.
=========================================================================
(1) Inspection Type - 89 --> Manual Inspection Type.
(2) Material : 1259
(3) Inspection Plan : Group : 253 : Counter : 2.
(4) Sampling Procedure : QUAL-DMS
(5) Assignments --> Sampling Type :300 --> Use Sampling Scheme
(6) Assignments --> Valuation Mode : 100 --> Attributive Inspection Nonconforming units.
(7) Assignments --> Sampling Scheme : 252 --> ISO 2859-1 / Level II / multiple
(8) Assignments --> Determination Rule : 30 --> Use sampling scheme
(9) Multiple Samples Multiple Samples radio button - selected
(10) Valuation Rule : 10
(11) Inspection Severity --> 4 --> Normal Inspection
(12) AQL Value --> 15.000
(13) Inspection Points --> Without Inspection Points
-
I have created the Inspection lot with lot size (a)25,(b)(c)50,(d)90,(e)150,(f)280 and (g)500
Assignments --> Sampling Scheme : 252 --> ISO 2859-1 / Level II / multiple
Inspection Severity - 4 and AQL Value - 15.000
LOT QTY SAMPLE SIZE NO.ON SAMPLES PERMITTED SAMPLE QTY INSP.LOT NO
25 3 2 --> 3 X 2 = 6 890000000438
50 2 5 --> 2 X 5 = 10 890000000439
90 3 5 --> 3 X 5 = 15 890000000440
150 5 5 --> 5 X 5 = 25 890000000441
280 8 5 --> 8 X 5 = 40 890000000442
500 13 5 --> 13 X 5 = 65 890000000443
Upto this point, every thing is good.
System calculates the sample quantity correctly.

In result recording after valuating the first sample, I have to select the second sample.
I could not select.
First sample qty is 6.
I have valuated and accepted all the 6 and second time I have rejected all the 6.
What ever may be the case, Second sample could not be selected.
Please guide me to solve this issue.
With Best Regards,
Raghu Sharma
Dear Raghu
System will propose for multiple sampling only when you valuate the inspection results, you cannot make a conclusive valuation for the inspection lot, because the number of nonconforming units or defects in the sample determined during results recording lies between the acceptance and rejection number.
Suppose your C1 is 3 and D1 is 5 and your sampling is 8. When you do single recording you have found 4 defects ( while lies between both C1 3 & D2 5). The system here proposes for the second sampling.
Hope you understood the concept. if still it is not working kindly sendme the screen shots of sampling scheme, procedure, inspection lot and RR.my IDis the there in the business card

Dear Gajesh,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
I have created a SAMPLING PROCEDURE --> QUAL-DMS.
IN ASSIGNMENTS,
Sampling type --> 300 -- USE SAMPLING SCHEME
Valuation mode --> 1000 - ATTRIBUTIVE INSPECTION NON CONFIRMING UNITS
(I have selected the system defined Sampling Scheme-> 252 ISO 2859-1 / Level II / multiple)
Sampling scheme --> 252 ISO 2859-1 / Level II / multiple( SYSTEM DEFINED)
Determination rule 30 Use sampling scheme
Sampling scheme 252 ISO 2859-1 / Level II / multiple
Inspection severity --> 4 - Normal inspection
AQL value --> 15.000
THIS TABLE CONTAINS C1,D1;C2,D2;etc --> System Defined.
AS I have selected 252 - ISO 2859 -1/ Level II / multiple,
all values of the above sampling scheme must be copied.
It has calculated the sample size 40 for the sample lot 280 correctly
--> sample size is 8
5 samples are to be considered
5 x 8 = 40 samples --> System calculated the 40 samples correctly
SAMPLE LOT --> 280
SAMPLE SIZE --> 8
FIRST SAMPLE C1 --> 0 AND D1 --> 5;
SECOND SAMPLE C2 --> 3 AND D2 --> 8
THIRD SAMPLE C3--> 6 AND D3 --> 10
FOURTH SAMPLE C4 --> 9 AND D4 --> 12
FIFTH SAMPLE --> C5 12 AND D4 --> 13
I have not defined. I have selected the --> SAMPLING SCHEME 252,
I feel that all its value have to be copied.
Am I correct?
Please advice.

Dear Raghu
have u maintained the acceptance number C1- D1, C2- D2, C3-D3 etc for each sample lot
regards
