Reg: Cascading LOV in Universe

Hi all,

I have created cascading LOV by selecting Tools --> List of Values --> Create cascading List of Values.

But it is not asking the prompt(Parameter) while using that universe in Web Intelligence. I have followed

the Help link provided by Business Object.

What is the use of Creating Cascading List of Values in Universe?

Can You tell me Step by Step solution for Creating Cascading List of Values?

Hi,

If you want to be prompted in Web Intelligence you need to create a filter in the filter pane of your query panel with the prompt option.

This filter MUST use at least one of the objects that compose the cascading LOV .

Otherwise you will not be prompted. In universes you are defininf semantics and metadata bu you are not defining how they will be consumed in your BI tools.
