Hi

Adding to explaination of Muzamil, the figures depends on how POC is calculated too.

To explain consider following simple example :-

lets take an example of a activity in Construction project

Activity = Concreting

Work = 1000 m3

Planned overall cost = Material Cost of Concrete (as material) at Activity

= Quantity Required X unit rate

= 1000 X 3000

= Rs. 30,00,000

Noraml duration = 60 days

So, at 30 days Planned POC (based on work i.e. degree of processing) is = 500 m3 = 50 %

& BCWS = Planned POC X overall costs

= 50 % X 30,00,000 = Rs. 15,00,000

Actual Confirmation at 30 days = 400 m3 = 40 %

So, BCWP = Actual POC X overall costs

= 40 % X 30,00,000 = Rs. 12,00,000

Now consider the GRN of "Concrete" material as 450 m3 (till date),

so ACWP = 450 m3 X 3000 (unit rate of material) = RS. 13,50,000

Hope this helps you.

Regards

Hi Ashis,

BCWS:This is the value of the planned services, relating to a reference factor (planned costs or overall budget) for the overall value of the work to be done.

It is calculated as follows:

BCWS = Planned POC * overall costs

BCWP:This is the value of the services actually rendered in relation to a reference factor (planned costs or overall budget) for the overall value of the services.

It is calculated as follows:

BCWP = Actual POC * overall costs

ACWP:Costs actually incurred
