Usage dependency

We have our idocs in one SWCVA and custom objects in another SWCVB.

Objects in SWCVB uses the SWCVA idocs. We had not defined any usage depencies so far.

Now for transporting, I presume that it would be better to define the usage dependency.

Please let me know if the following steps would work?

1) Define SWCVA as usage dependency for SWCVB with dependency context of installation time.

2) Transfer SWCVB from system landscape directory. I presume my old namespaces under SWCVB will not be affected by this re-transfer.

Please let me know if this steps would be sufficient or I i have missed anything?

Hi SSG,

In this case it is better to use Usage Dependency.

So now you need to define usage dependency for SWCVB.

Hope this helps,

Krishna, We have already transported lot of objects in SWCVB to production. Can we still go ahead and define usage dependency and transport?

SSG,

I did not experienced this till now, I think you can go ahead on this. But try to test in the Development environment rigoursly, after changing the dependency and then try to transport.

Just my view~ Hope this helps
