HI,

I need A backup strategy for sap NW 7.1 (PI)

for the abap system I back up the Database.

and which folders need to backup for the j2ee 7.1 instance in a daily base?

I running the system on win2003 + microsoft sql server.

Hi,

ABAP configs are only stored in DB but J2EE configs are stored in DB as well as on file system level.

To backup your ABAP+ J2EE engine, you should also take the backup of your file system along with DB.

Since you are using the Windows, So please take the complete backup of the drive on which SAP is installed.

This will ensure that all the configs are backup and you can also restore the indivisual folder also on the same machine in future in case of some incidenses.

But If you want to run this same system on another machine, please take the JAVA export as suggested by Rishi.

i shall suggest you take the Java Export for Java System to restore it .
