Hello,
there should be a file in the installation directory
called XCMDOUT.log.
It containes the database commands which are executed.
Please paste the last ten lines from this file into this case.

Hi
I have the same error.
I tried log in as SAPServiceXI1, and "user list" shown no entry. So I created one default user with "xuser" as below:
Key :DEFAULT
Username :SAPXI1
UsernameUCS2:S.A.P.X.I.1. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Password :?????????
PasswordUCS2:?????????
Dbname :XI1
Nodename :nb-047
Sqlmode :SAPR3
Cachelimit :-1
Timeout
Isolation
Charset :<unspecified>
However, I still hit the same error. Please help...
Thank you
pslim

Hello,
account Gunti exists with parameter domain="WEBAPPSRV2"
account t39adm exists with parameter domain="WEBAPPSRV2"
That means there are two users: Gunti and t39adm.
The SAPService should run under one of these users.
Please try to logon to the machie as these users and run
the command "xuser list" in a dos-box.
Please paste the output into this case.
You can also try to create the xuser entries when you are logged on as these user. For that just run the following commands
xuser -U DEFAULT -u sap<sid>db,<password> -d <SID> -n WEBAPPSRV2 -S SAPR3 -t 0 -I 0
xuser -U w -u superdba,admin -d <SID> -n WEBAPPSRV2
xuser -U c -u control,control -d <SID> -n WEBAPPSRV2
xuser -U c_J2EE -u control,control -d <SID> -n WEBAPPSRV2
With an xuser list the commands should be given out.
I assume an error will come up since sapinst is also not able to create them.
Thanks, Stefan

Hello,
the command is not run by sapinst under the user which started sapinst.
The command should be run under the user which owns the SAPService. This is because this user have to connect to the database with this userdata.
In sapinst_dev.log before the error occurs there should be some messages about the user ( user ... exists ).
Please check. Try to logon as these users and run the command again.
Best regards, Stefan

Hello,
yes the error message is:
> Subprocess starts at 20041019200625
Execute Command : D:\sapdb\programs/pgm/dbmcli.exe -n webappsrv1 -d T39 -u sapT39,sap -uk DEFAULT -us sapT39,sap -up SQLMODE=SAPR3;TIMEOUT=0;ISOLATION=0;
> Subprocess stops at 20041019200625

When I run this command in a dos-box, everything is OK.
You can also send me an email to djgunti@arcor.de
