How to check exact hardware information

Hi,

We have a Dell Power edge 2950 Server and recently we have installed windows 2003 Server on that. After that i am trying to find the correct hardware information so that i can download the correct SAP installation files.

How can i find which one is compatible for my System.

IA64

X86_64

AMD

it is X86_64 which is equivalent to AMD64.

read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X86-64

IA64 is only/mostly used on HP hardware.

Thanks Eric for reply.

Now i checked on the OSS and under the Oracle RDBMS section i found this

NT:

AMD64

I386

IA64

here what is the difference between I386 & AMD64. Is it I386 stands for 32bit and AMD64 is for 64bit

I386 = 32-bit

AMD64 = 386-similar architecture on 64 bit

Subash,

1.Goto Command promt & give command systeminfo. This will give all information.From that list see below details

If system info shows :-

OS Name: Microsoft(R) Windows(R) Server 2003 Enterprise x64 Ed

System Type: x64-based PC

This means it is X86_64 system (AMD64).

2.My Computer->Right Click Properties-->MS 2003, enterprise X64 edition. It means this is X86_64 system. If it shows IA64 then it means IA64.
