Hello Pablo,

have a look at SAP note 603981 (Windows) or 603972 (UNIX).

Thanks For your Answer ..

I read the note 603972 but in the last section of procedure I don't have very clear if I must execute db6_update_db.sh or I must take another actions for FixPak 11 ... (like db2 bind operations...)

Any idea?

Thanks in advance

Hi Pablo,

The script db6_update_db.sh will just generate another script named db6_update_db_out.sh. Before you run the new script you can check which actions will be triggered when running the generated scrip.

The comments at the beginning of the generated script will give you a good overview about the actions:

#*******************************************************

#

  1. This batch file was generated by db6_update_db.sh.

  2. Dependant on your system configuration it enables db2 features:

  3. - run db2updv8

  4. - enable autoresize on DMS table spaces

  5. - create 16k bufferpool if necessary

  6. - create SYSTOOLSPACE table space if not exists

  7. - create SYSTOOLSTMPSPACE table spaces if not exists

  8. - set db2 registry DB2_WORKLOAD=SAP

  9. - enable AUTORUNSTATS if not set already

  10. - rebind packages

#

#********************************************************

So from here you can see that the rebind of the packages is done by the script, there is no need to do it manually.

If you follow the steps in note 603972 and then run the script everything is fine.

Joachim
