Text paste problems SAPGUI 710 Patchlevel 12 Windows XP SP2

Text paste issues in various input fields when typing both Korean and English using overwrite mode (insert mode is working fine). The problem is in SAPGUI 710 Patch Level 12 not in SAPGUI 710 Patch Level 3. This problem is happening in many SAP description windows such as material master description MM02, vehicle number search VELO, dependency editor CU02 and even in SE38.

Example:

when users try to overwrite the description it makes weird result.

In case, the length of character exceeds the maximum length of editor, itu2019s not working correctly.

an example with SE38.

field Program contains "ZPBDVPMTL07".

Iu2019ll overwrite "XC_PRO_INVISIBLE_CHAR" behind program mane "ZPBDVPMTL07".

after overwrite I expect to be "ZPBDVPMTL07XC_PRO_INVISIBLE".

but the result is "XC_PRO_INVISIBLE_CHARIISIBLE_CH".

If the length is not exceeding, it works.

there is no problem in insert mode.

=> this is not the same behavior as in SAPGUI patchlevel 3 where overwrite is working.

tried different design settings.

all Korean installations have this issue.

notes 1256973, 1053737 are not applicable (SP14) according to a test procedure (copy a provided textedit.dll) from a SAP forum member.

The correction will be included in patch 15 of SAPGUI 710.

Patchlevel 15: Expected to be shipped in week 42/2009.
