Not able to Change Package of SWCV from local to Zpackage

Hi All,

I am not able to change my SWCV object directory entry, is there any way of changing it.What happended is that i created a SWCV in $TMP and now i need to transport it to another system but for that i need to change its package from $TMP to some Z package.

Any clue how this could be solved.

Hi Abhishek,

1. goto workbench

2. double click on the SWCV

3. menu Goto->Object Directory entry

4. Now you can goto edit mode and give the package name and save. It should ask you for a transport request to lock the SWCV.

Adding to above:

Same has to be done for all the objects in SWCV. Otherwise, you can't transport Data objects, Backend Adapters and DM's.

Adding to the above,

Make sure all the objects(SWCV, DO, DM, adapter ) that you want to transport are included in the same request. This will help the transports to be clean.

For example, do not include DO and DM is 2 separate TR's and then transport it. They all should be in the same TR.

I followed the same steps it is giving below error :

Entry R3TR MSCV not permitted in object directory

Reload SDOE_WB transaction and perform the steps. It should work.

try reloading the workbench transaction and doing the steps again
