Alerts in PI

Hi,

ive created alert category and alert rules(based no interfaces)

I was trying to test my alert setup. so i tried to de-activate the adapter also tried to induce an error in the mapping,

Yet i am not receiveing any alerts.

Could some1 give me a hint on this?

Am i testing it the wrong way?

Hey

Few things you can check

1)check SLG1 for error logs.

2)uncheck the "Suppress multiple alerts of this rule" checkbox in alert rules in RWB.

3)Run the report RSALERTTEST to see if alerts are triggered.

4)check configuration of SCOT.

Yes the checkbox for suppresing multiple alerts was uncheckd and I started gettin the alert..

Another good thing to look at is - your email id under your SAPID profile.

Try using sending test email from SAP connect.

Hi,

Make sure that you have unchecked "Suppress Multiple Alerts of This Rule" in Alert Rule in Alert Configuration(RWB).

Also see if the fixed recepient is defined in alert category. You can check the alert status by executing transaction alrtdisp.
