The 11.0 version was never actually called xMII because that was the Lighthammer CMS version prior to the SAP acquisition. SAP MII 11.5 was the acquire to ship release version that 11.0 turned into (with the obvious branding and a few technical changes, etc).
If you are able to establish the new VM environment and install the 11.0 s/w then copying the filesystem content should be all you need. I think you might even be able to go right to 11.5 on a fresh installation, without needing to even install 11.0. Try copying the C:\Lighthammer, C:\Illuminator, C:\Xacute and C:\Inetpub folders (the usual suspects) to a fresh windows IIS server and try running the 11.5 install to see if it treats it as an 'upgrade'.
As to your support question - no, there is no support for the 11.0 version which is now 5+ years old.
11.5 is a necessary stepping stone version in order to migrate forward to 12.0 or the upcoming 12.1, so you will need to get to 11.5 before proceding any further.
