Hi!
We would like to copy a client from productive system to quality assurance system.
Questions:
1) What is the best procedure?
1a) export/import
1b) remote copy
2) Where can I find the appropriate documentation?
Thank you very much!

Export / Import is recommended in you case.
And you take care of prerequisite steps
> You have to have required space available in /usr/sap/trans Directory for Source (PRD) and Target (QAS) systems
> Approximately maintain space at OS level @ 10:3 ratio of client size, ex: if client size is 140Gb it will take approximate size of 20G at OS level when exported.
> Before Import extend the PSAP<SID> tablespace to the required size in target system. For this you can run a resource analysis in client copy.
> Once Import is done, donu2019t forget to run the BDLS for changing the logical systems.
Following commands used:
SCC8 for Export
Use STMS for import, after successful import Use SCC7 for post processing of client copy.
Thanks,
Surendra

Hi,
Please find documentation on client copy on below link:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/69/c24c684ba111d189750000e8322d00/frameset.htm
I think both methods are ok. It depends on you which method you use.
Thanks
Sunny

Hi,
Remote method is not preferred if you are doing a large client copy
I will suggest that you opt for export/import method.
Please find the link for more detail procedure.
