We use the "old" way to clone SAP-DB2 systems which works very well for us since several years. Unfortunally the REPAIR utility is very slow and we open a PMR with IBM. It ends up in a requirement so I wan't to know did anybody use the REPAIR instead of the STORAGE GROUP cloning process?

Hello Roland,
what do you mean by "the old way"? Cloning by SAP means??
We do it by DB2 means only (benefit: without system down of the source system and normaly no Problems)
However some Problems with SAP 6.4 (e.g. with V8 DB2) will accure with some SAP components like XI using the Java Stack (becuase of new naming conventions).
Have you already experience cloning J2EE components?
Eberhard
