WAS 6.3 sp4 Request Entity Too Large

Hi Experts,

I am hitting the following error in WAS 6.3 sp4.

<i>413 Request Entity Too Large 6.30

The request entity must be less than 4096The request entity must be less than

Details: No details available</i>

It seems that the combination of my domain cookies, portal databag and my url exceeds 4k. Is this a hard limit set on the WAS (bug maybe)? Is this configurable?

Hi tomas,

just a remark in addition to what you've found out. The Config tool lets you change this property offline (that is, if you change it, you then need to restart the J2EE Engine dispatcher, so that the new setting takes effect.)

However, you can change this property at runtime using the Visual Administrator (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/1a/dbd2ba84b97144b922e8cb281ac18d/frameset.htm). So if you need to change other properties of the J2EE Engine in the future, remember the Visual Admin lets you do that runtime (it's more convenient, right?)
