Navigational Attribute

Hi BWExperts,

i am going through one problem related to the navigational attribute.

I have created one attribute as navigational under masterdata.

Now my problem is that how i will use this attribute(navigational) in my query so that i can filter the values on that.The problem is this is a characteristic type of attribute.so i can't create formula varibale also on that.As per my knowledge formula variable can create only on keyfigure.Pls help me.

Hi,

You can achieve this by defining this nav attribute in infoProvider level.Then in Query designer you can use this nav attribute as seperate characteristic and you can filter values.

Double click on infoProvider->Nav.attributes>there is a check box againest your nav attribute ....enable it. activate the infocube.

log off and log-in to Bex again.
